研究テーマ
がん免疫エディティング、癌のT細胞療法の開発、癌免疫臨床試験
プロフィール
長崎県佐世保市育ち。中学・高校と男子校の寮生活。1983年久留米大学附設高等学校卒業。
1990年長崎大学医学部卒業、1996年長崎大学大学院博士課程修了（医学博士）。
学生時代に珠玖洋教授に出会い、以後がん免疫研究の世界へ。1999年より2004年まで米国ワシントン大学医学部Robert D Schreiber博士のもとに留学し、がん免疫エディティングの研究に携わる。2004年より2006年まで北海道大学遺伝子病制御研究所免疫制御分野 助教授。2006年より現職。
週末は庭仕事に汗を流し、自宅で育てたハーブを混ぜ込んだ料理に、捜してきたウマ安ワインがピタリと合った時にささやかな喜びを感じている。教室の若者とテニス、フットサルに出かけ、エージングに無駄な抵抗をしてもいる。
